A descendant from the Kabi Kabi people of South-East Queensland (of he Douwaburra tribe), Ray has spent his life serving the indigenous people of this country. He was National Director of World Vision Australia's Indigenous programmes, a 'vision keeper' for the World Christian Gathering of Indigenous People, a Council member of the Global Indigenous Dialogue, and has been a pastor to numerous indigenous churches.
