Brulluhman - Greeks and protesting comes hand-in-hand. It is part of their ethnic makeup.Have you known a Greek NOT to raise their voice and complain and carry on? Obviously not. The Greek psyche is one of protest .. it what makes them need their midday siesta :)

Jokes aside ... Greece isnt leaving. Germany isnt leaving. Infact if anything, the problems in Greece [and other places] is actually resulting in even tighter integration discussions.

Be grateful to live in the eu?? LOL and this comes from someone living his swanky ass off in California, the state that probably more than any other scorns your socialist bollocks and where as a result the average Joe can afford to ride a massive Dodge Ram or GMC Yukon.....and what are we left with in Europe?? The Smart Cabriolet...... :(

I'm following the news at 'geenstijl' nl. Greece is bankrupt. Barosso told that Greece introduced a recoveryplan that was very ambitious (means not to be taken serious). Look, we can all pay money for Greece, our taxeuro's or get the hell out. That is where we are standing. The banks did not calculated countries that would go bankrupt in their stressplans, and we don't want another or maybe worse bigger crisis. Have you seen the protests in Greece? Well... think twice. When Greece is getting out, Germany is getting out, Britain has a little problem, cause they gave Greece a ballooning budget of 175 billion pound. They can't pay back... When we do would help Greece, their gov. should be fired and we should be in control. I'm starting to feel that when we help Greece we're the biggest sponsors of the mafia.

For short.. we're fucked both ways. Who want's a icecream 50 guildercents?

BRUSSELS (Dow Jones)--Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said Wednesday that a European solution for the country's debt problems would be preferable to an international one, should such assistance be needed.

"Greece is dealing with its problems of public finances," Papandreou said, "but if we need assistance, we expect the European Union could respond to this and this would be the best option."

All options remain open, however, he added.

Speaking to journalists after a meeting with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, the prime minister said Greece is ahead of schedule with its economic reforms.

The "vast majority" of fiscal measures that needed to be in place by mid-May "are already passed and being implemented," he said.

Asked for his response to German Chancellor Angela Merkel's call for a mechanism to expel profligate members from the euro zone, Papandreou said there was "zero possibility" of Greece leaving the single European currency.

Brulluhman - Try Google News and search for "European Union" + Greece .... loads of news reports there.

Greece has NOT asked for EU support as yet. According to the Wall Street Journal, the changes that have been put in place will see Greece meet the targets set.

But loads of news reports if one cares to look :)

Yep, in a few months we should be able to tell whether or not Greece has stabalised.
Brulluhman (12 hours ago)
Why isnt here any information about Greece and there situation in the eurozone. Should we love and trust the EU parliament on their blue eyes? Within a few months this will be all over.
