I was warming up in my percussion dungeon and I started improvising this. I liked it, so I ran upstairs, threw a shirt on over my wifebeater, grabbed my camera, and played it. I'm pretty sure the motif is something I heard Bjork do.

Also, sorry for the tuba in the beginning. Dad was practicing upstairs :D

Guess it's time to upload my not video stuff!

This is pretty much my first successful attempt at remixing. This is also the beginning of me discovering my inability to come up with names for my music. More on that later. Cave Story is a really incredible game, it was entirely constructed by a guy in japan named Daisuke Amaya (who goes by PIXEL, or studio PIXEL). In this remix, I am playing flute (poorly) a bit, and mom is playing some violin and viola for me. I did this one when somebody on the OneUp studios forum proposed a remix contest. There was cash prizes, so of course I entered. I was beaten by OUS' own Mustin, but I still got a few bucks for second place! In this track, I'm playing a whole bunch of percussion instruments I sampled from the Peabody Percussion studio, a bit of snare drum, some ambient vocal work, and my mom (Sharon Dennison, who goes by "MomUltimA" on OverClocked Remix ;) ) is playing violin. The original name of this track was "That's What You Get (for eating nothing but pizza and cheesesteaks all day)", and was deadicated to zircon after he had come down with appendicitis. I started this one at an OCR meetup actually, in zircon's basement. This one's pretty much straight up electric, no live instruments here. I sneak in all of the playable character themes as well. I like to imagine that this remix is narrating a fight between Lavos and Chrono (yes, not Crono) and his friends. Lavos tricks them into thinking he's a good guy, and then EATS THEM!

Fun fact: this one started out as "Lavos is Inconsistent", but I didn't like that name either.
