Wasn't intending to do this but started playing it, it sounded okay so I got distracted and ended up overcooking my rice.

African-style drumming with BFD Percussion danielear... - 615 views - 2 months ago
Just got the BFD "Percussion" addon, and did this short demo to try it out. I assigned three bongo sounds, African bells, Irish bones, an east Asian temple block and a normal kick drum, to various pieces of my V-Drums kit, and then built up three or four layers of MIDI tracks by just playing on the kit with sticks.

Cover of 'Breeze' by Lush danielear... - 1,927 views - 3 months ago

From 19 years ago, a B-side of the 'Sweetness and Light' EP (which got to number 47 in the UK charts) and which I probably purchased from Our Price Records. Lush always made good use of Rickenbackers as rhythm guitars. Also I think the chords in this are great, moving around in an instinctive way and the bass does something interesting and strange in the chorus, quite Brian Wilson-ish if you ask me, which you didn't, but there we are. Lush = the Beach Boys of Camden in the 90s.

You may think this is a terrible waste of good equipment. Not to mention a Sunday morning. You could be right. Guest vocalist: Clive.

Hello!

Don't forget to press the orangey/yellow Subscribe button. (If you haven't signed up for a YouTube account, now is the time to). That way you will know when I post a new video.

I am the only person in all my videos (apart from that one with just my Dad in). I don't play along with the records. All the sounds are made by me (okay, apart from the organ noise at the start of 'World Leader Pretend').

I write and record my own songs under the name 'The Primrose League'. There are a few videos here - you can download all my songs for free here: http://www.primroseleague.co.u k

A note about tabs: I don't know what tabs are. I don't use tabs. I don't give out tabs. I don't smerk tabs. Tabs Schmabs, enough with the tabs already!

Thanks.

Dude, I've been taking a look at all of your R.E.M. videos. I like the fact that you've done a snippet of one track off of each IRS record up to Fables, but the saga still feels...unfinished. Maybe go for a full cover of "Fall On Me" in the near future?

@DrinkingHalfpint - I sometimes wonder about combining REM's Disturbance at the Heron House with Duran's Is There Something I Should Know. The guitar riffs are very similar.
