On September 3, 2007, Tim Borland of Los Gatos, California set out on an incredible quest to run a marathon a day (26.2 miles) for 63 consecutive days while pushing a mobility jogging stroller. Traveling more than 14-thousand miles across 29 states, 63 communities and one Canadian Province, Borland sought to raise awareness and funding for the non-profit A-T Children's Project. Battling a brutal schedule complicated by excessive heat, high winds, drastic elevation changes and torrential rain, Tim pushes on. Borland is fueled by the hope to find a cure for children diagnosed with a rare terminal disease, Ataxia Telangiectasia -- whose own feet lack the strength to run.

Here you'll find daily video blogs along the 63 day journey.

A documentary crew chronicled Tim's quest and will release the feature film in 2009. To learn more about "FEAT" the documentary visit: www.featmovie.com

Hi Tim,

I just read about your run for a cure for AT and I want to say that what you are doing is wonderfully touching.

I'm certain that your feat has already benefited countless people who have been inspired and been given joy by either meeting you or learning about what you were doing. And the awareness that you have brought to this disease is likely to benefit many, many more in an even more direct way.

I just wanted to tell you that you are a very special individual and to send you my highest regards.

Sincerely,

Nick Young

I had to tell you this story. The night of the Littleton marathon, Ben Bekah and I were playing together. Ben was riding an antique toy tractor with pedal wheels and Bekah was riding a big wheel. After a few minutes of trying to reach the pedals unsuccessfully, Bekah got up, picked up her baby doll, went to the toy stroller, put her baby in it and said, "I'm gonna be Tim." and proceeded to run around the room pushing her stroller. To that Ben replied, "Pfff! I'm not gonna be Tim. I'm gonna be a farmer." I love being able to witness the hilarious interactions those two have.

Thank you Tim and fam, Brad and Deb, everyone at the A-T Project, all you Colorado-ites and A-T families who made us feel so welcome and loved, and everyone who has shown such an enormous amount of support. We're very humbled by the outpouring of love, compassion, generosity and friendship.

Hey Tim . .. . . . Chad Wildoner's dad here (Mark) - - - -
On one run you had said that you had a "slow" start but nearing the last few miles of the run you said you felt great . . .. . . . which made me wonder . .. . . . . Out of the 26.2 miles is there a section of miles that tend to be harder (first, middle or end)?

Thanks for EVERYTHING

Mark

Tim and Family, We're following you every day and cheering you on. I saw this quote by T. S. Eliot last week and thought of you! "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go!" You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you!!
