Xbox 360 Fall update, My thoughts...

You can install the games with the new update! What if they find a way to communicate to the dvd drives sata cable the necessary data to make the 360 think that a specific disc is inserted. ie a chip that could be on a sata pass through cable to the dvd drive. So then you rent games & download them to the 360 & when asked to insert a disc the chip will emulate the portion of the disc needed for verification. When installing the game to the 360 the chip could store the security information. Just a thought, This seems the most feasible considering the difficulties in trying to bypass the hyper visor. Just some thoughts.

AVAST, FREE Antivirus !

I thought I would mention this, For those that do not already know, Avast is the best free antivirus software out there. It gets It's virus database from 8 sources. I use this on all of my systems & It dosen't slow them down a bit, It's light weight & not bloatware. It's FREE, Only catch is every year you need to get a new free code from the site, Just takes about 50 seconds.

DVD Quality Downloads of select videos !

I have added links to download the original DVD quality footage shot with my JVC GZ-MG21U Hard Disk camcorder, This is useful for videos where quality matters such as the videos showing the quality of gaming that the Dell Vostro laptop offers.

16mm On A Platter

This is something really neat I stumbled across on the internet. I'd like to build one myself someday so I can watch my films without interruption. Link at bottom of page.

A little about me...

My primary hobby next to computers & taking apart & repairing most anything is film. I am always on the look out for good 16mm & 35mm prints. Typically 1980 & later & for me I really like more modern prints. Some examples of films I have. 16mm "Men In Black" "American Pie 2" "Honey I blew Up The Kid" "Problem Child" "Vacation - Chevy Chase" 35mm "Die Hard with A vengeance" "Home Alone" "Chill Factor" & many more of both categories. Currently I have an 84x84 DA-LITE screen that I can use for indoor or outdoor presentation. I use a pair of KLH Titan speakers wired in series 16 Ohms. I must say they sound amazing, Especially when watching movie trailers where stuff blows up! Great Bass & treble for $50.00 speakers. I am always on the lookout for AMC movie tunes Cd's as I have none & would like to add that type of presentation to my home setup, I have always been a big fan of AMC's theaters. The projectors I use are Bell & Howell 2580's which I believe to be the best compact portable, They are rugged & tough built & make minimal contact with the film surface. & I have 5 of them encase I need to change or repair parts or so on,Because they do have a minor flaw in the worm gear as it gets old it cracks & needs replacing, I got a brand new, New Old stock 2585 autoload model on eBay it was military surplus & has a very nice Isco lens. I currently don't have a 35mm projector, I Would like to find a Mignon35 portable. I recently Got a Acer PH530 which is a very nice projector & have it connected to A computer system with surround sound & a remote controll. I use it for playback of High Definition movies I download from various places. It is cabable of doing a full theater showing, I currently have it setup to first show a slide show with Coca Cola screenplay digital slides along with music,It will then show a slide for everyone to turn off their cellphones, Then it will show a slide for coming attractions & then play several HD trailers for upcoming movies, Afterwards it will fade in & out to a slide saying "And Now Our Feature Presentation" at which point it loads up the HD movie & runs it. It's like having your own digital theater.

The X-Files: Fight the Future

Mulder: If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed ...nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system...that's the game..."

The video I had re posted "Star Trek and Pedobear like Lazytown" was pulled by youtube. I didn't make it & it was a re upload from someone else on youtube. Here's my problem with this. The video was up for 6 MONTHS. It had 12,798 views & only now was it pulled due to "Inappropriate Content" Out of all the disturbing videos on youtube they pull this one & if it was really so bad, How the heck did it stay online for 6 months & have almost 13,000 views! It makes no sense! I consider myself an average everyday user of youtube & I don't post inappropriate content. This would make the 2nd strike against my account, Lucky the other one was removed already. So I just have 1 strike now.
