In 2005, Jack Cady of Stride Mechanics LLC graciously offered his services to analyze my stride and form. Jack wanted to compare my form as a barefoot runner to other non-elites and elites he has analyzed as well as give me a few pointers on how I might fine tune my stride, gait, form, etc.

Many people have emailed me asking to see more of my training in nature, so heres a newly edited video, using elements that were filmed on the island of Corsica just a year ago (thanks Tim Kahn for his great filming and editing talent).
I feel it is important to remind everyone that even though the practice of MovNat should include free, exploratory sessions in nature consisting of purely random and adaptive natural movement and spontaneous action, MovNat is above all a training method which involves principles, techniques and programming.
The Natural Movement Coaching System® that is MovNat is fully scalable and enables practitioners to make faster, broader and safer progress in the practice of natural movement.
To optimize practice and for coaching efficiency reasons, i.e offering a broad range of training variety in a limited space and shortening the learning curve while ensuring full scalability and injury-prevention, it is essential to practice in a custom-built facility first. It is especially true for beginners, people that are out of shape, that risk to injure themselves or would be intimidated starting from scratch on their own, to optimally supervise group training, for people that dont have easy access to outdoors, people that live in areas where the winter is particularly tough, for people that understand that what may feel natural is not necessarily efficient or optimal, and simply for all people that lack time and need to optimize the time which they can dedicate to training.
A MovNat training facility can be indoors or outdoors or mix both indoors and outdoors and provides ideal conditions to get started with the assistance of competent coaching.
So again, this new video does not explain anything about the training/coaching method, it is designed to display natural movement training in nature, i.e the most adaptive form of natural movement, and finally to be inspirational.
I hope you will enjoy it!

Hi, Ted! Just got finished "Born To Run"...gotta say, you're one memorable character! Thanks for the inspiration. I'd been running in Vibrams for a few months before reading the book, and I'm never going back if I can help it...best thing I've ever done for my feet (and probably, by extension, my whole body)! Hope to see more of your videos. :-)
Hey Ted, am... nice to find your channel and be able to talk to you so easily, god I love the internet, heard of you a while back through my investigatiojn into barefoot movement. Then I read "the book", you know which book :P was cool to hear of you in it. Im more of a Parkour enthusiast (Traceur) then an all out distance runner but I just love efficient movement in general or in any form. If anyone evr asks does Barefoot work for Parkour too, tell them, YES from me hehe.
Anyhow, hope your keeping well and still putting up the enjoyable miles, peace out bro, and greetings from Ireland, Daz
I have been running for a year, got the five fingers, then quickly got a stress fracture. ha! I don't blame the shoes, I blame my form. I'm starting over now that I'm healed.
I just bought the Five Fingers and have just come back from the first enjoyable run of my entire adult life. Thanks to you for being a crazy man and thanks to Mr. McDougall for writing a thoroughly enjoyable book. Keep on keepin on man
Hello sir! I started running a few months ago and went from .5 (I know...) miles to 5 miles a day which is pretty good, I guess. I agree that barefoot running is ideal. In fact, i'm going barefoot more and more often now and i've found that because of it, my runs are a lot more enjoyable. I hope to achieve the mileage you're doing some day. Adios.
