The first place winner was decent, but I was disappointed in the fact that most, if not all of the videos where the participants were actually doing the windmill on a guitar were all in the bottom 20, where the top winners were all either not really doing it, or their videos had a...polished finish, meaning they looked good having nothing to do with the windmill itself. Pete should have had a word in the judging...but it came off more as a flashy creative contest, rather than the windmill itself, as it was stated in the contest rules. If it was supposed to be creative and not a real adaptation...then it should have been stated. As I'm sure many participants gave it their all to actually do it on a real guitar, I understand their great disappointment because it is difficult to do in some cases. Next time around, i hope the judging isn't as tainted as it was for this contest.

Even though the 1st place winner was pretty good, I am disapointed in the judges for who they picked. It seemed it was mainly about editing and story lines, not the windmill itself, I saw some amazing windmills that didn't even get mention?? whatever.

What a joke this competition was. The 1st place and second place winners were not that good. I dont know what all the fuss about Masons video a couple of windmills and jumps, there were alot better videos than his with some high speed windmilling. I was not impressed. They should be ashamed awarding the prizes to the top six. I am also ashamed of Pete for lending his name and not hving any part of the judging.

I'm a masive WHO fan how come I didnt even get a runner up? I cut my thumb open for crying out loud! And windmilled to the extreme :( Almost risked damaging my guitar too. I'm really disapointed that I didnt win anything :( Mason who was third place thought it wasnt right that I didnt get anywhere in this competiton

I'm a bit confused. I thought this contest was about doing the best windmill not the cutest, gimmicky film. The winner was actually very good, but some of the others confuse me. I just could have done without the storyboard. They should have requested the best short, humorous film. What a disappointment. I saw some brilliant windmills, granted some were in the wrong direction, but there many brilliant submissions. Pete should have been involved in the decision. Again, as is the case in our media saturated society, looks and gimmicks win out. Pete's windmill is an art form, not some cute gimmick. It's part of how he gets his sound.
