The U.S. Water Rockets Team builds and launches water rockets made from non-metallic materials and powered solely by compressed air and water. We pioneered launching cameras using water rockets and specialize in water rocket aerial photography. Many groups were inspired by our appearance on Mythbusters and have launched cameras in a similar fashion.
We are the current World Altitude Record holders. The standings can be viewed at http://www.wra2.org and are updated regularly. Several other competitions such as flight duration or multiple stage rockets are among the other categories you can participate in as a WRA2 member!
We also specialize in photography and camera construction and hacing. In addition to our water rocket videos, we will also present tutorials on camera hacking and modifications with a tilt towards creating interesting effects or aerial photographyusing water rockets. Of course these theses can also be applied to R/C planes and helicopters as well as standard pyro rockets, balloons, and even kites.
