	ATokyoite (2 months ago) Strangely as it may seem, I now see that some Maori words are similar to Japanese! For instance, in your 1-10 video, "waru" is similar to the Japanese word for "evil (bad)" and "iwa" for "stone". Also, "ono" is a common surname in Japan, but can also even mean "axe".

	Apfelbluete1 (4 months ago) I'm German and spent a year in New Zealand as an exchange student when I was 16. They taught us the New Zealand national anthem in English and Māori and some other another song I cannot remember unfortunately :( I find it to be a very beautiful language. :) I like the sound of it. Very pleasant. Thanks for posting the songs and the lyrics and also for the Māori language link :)
