Sheila Jackson Lee is totally awesome! She has always been there for all of us in her district! I work at a school in the 18th and she has always been willing and able to show her support of the school, and many events for kids. All of our previous reps have drawn fire, because they have championed causes for the poor and forgotten. Mikey Leland was reviled by many. And yet he spent most of the final years of his life fighting for the people of this community as well as the forgotten victims of famine in Ethiopia and Sudan. Barbara Jordan also held this seat, and was likewise reviled in her day, only to be later canonized by the judgment of history for her many great acts. I hope that SJL will continue to fight the good fight for the people.
