Sandwich Concert Band

A community Concert Band / Wind Orchestra based in the small village of Sandwich on the East Kent coast just a few miles from Dover.

The band was founded in 2011 and already has a membership of over 50 players.

Repertoire includes the usual music from films and shows, marches and classical transcriptions; but we also mix in a fairly high percentage of original compositions for Wind Orchestra.

The Training Band is for players of all ages from about Grade 1 upwards, and the Concert Band is for players who are about Grade 5+

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings - Training Band 6-7pm and Concert Band 7.15-9.15pm.

Many concerts take place in the fantastic acoustic of St Mary's Arts Centre on Strand Street in Sandwich. (http://www.stmarysartscentre.org.uk)
