How to Make an Origami Gift Box (Intermediate) RobH0629 - 6,116 views - 1 week ago
In this tutorial, I will explain step-by-step how to create the origami gift box.

We must first have a square piece of paper. I will be using printer paper, but if you have origami paper, that will be fine as well.

We will first create folds which will outline the size of the box and also the height. Then, we must create the four corners of the box by locking the sides of the box together. I explain in detail the procedure for locking one corner of the box and then you may do the remaining 3 corners.

After all of the corners of the box are locked, we must then fold the flaps of the box so that we may interlock them. Then, put your gift inside the box and give it to whoever you like!

How to Make an Origami Butterfly RobH0629 - 8,373 views - 3 weeks ago
In this tutorial, I explain how to make an origami butterfly out of a sheet of printer paper. We must first make the paper square, and then go on to make what is known as the "Water Bomb Base" or "Paper Balloon Base".

After that, we will go on to make the wings and head of the butterfly, finally folding it into the final shape.

This tutorial should be regarded as fairly simple and is gone over in detail. Hope you enjoy, and please comment, rate, and subscribe to my videos! Thanks :-)

How to Make an Origami Dragon (Intermediate) RobH0629 - 9,057 views - 3 weeks ago
In this video, I explain how we will make an origami Dragon out of a piece of printer paper. We must first convert the paper to have square dimensions/shape. Then we must make what is known as the bird base (also in my crane tutorial).

Click here to see my Japanese Crane tutorial!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =FSijU52XJ7w

If you already know how to make the bird base, you may fast forward to around 4:25.

We will then transform the bird base into the dragon by creating arms, a tail and head of the dragon.

Hope you enjoy and don't forget to also comment, rate, and subscribe to my videos!

How to Solve a 4x4x4 Rubik's Cube - Step 1 - Centers RobH0629 - 151,047 views - 1 year ago
Link for Step 2 - Edge Pairing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =4anBuKlhn0Q

In this tutorial, I will show how to solve the 4x4 Rubik's Revenge cube. We must first place centers (no algorithm needed), then pair each individual edge (one short algorithm because of parity). After that, the cube is very similar to solving a 3x3.

In this video, I first give an introduction into the 4x4 cube and explain what we will need to accomplish before we can actually start to solve the cube. I also go over the notation we will need to become familiar with when performing given algorithms and then start to show you how to position/solve the six 'centers' of the cube. (NOTE* If you do not want to watch the introduction and notation, you can fast forward to 2:55 where I begin going over the centers*) The three main things we will be doing are:
1) Making 2x1 blocks within the center regions of the cube
2) Combining two 2x1 blocks to form a 2x2 center block
3) Adding a single center component to a 3 piece L. *NOTE* to do this, I recommend having the single center piece either in the lower left or lower right region and positioning the corner of the L (see video*) in the same location as that single piece.

*NOTE* A good way to pick three centers to place in a clockwise direction (If you don't want to use red/white/blue) is to look at any corner on the cube and place the three centers in the same orientation/position as the colors on the corner. You do not have to worry about the corner when placing centers, you would just be using it to pick those three colors only.

PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK AND/OR COMMENTS ON THE TUTORIAL VIDEOS OR SEND ME A MESSAGE AND I WILL ANSWER AS SOON AS I CAN (USUALLY WITHIN A DAY OR TWO)! I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR IF IT IS HELPING PEOPLE OUT. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

How To Solve a 4x4x4 Rubik's Cube - Step 2 - Edge Pairing RobH0629 - 111,264 views - 1 year ago
Link to Step 3 - Parity Errors and Final Solve
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =OUU22JeVROE

This is a tutorial on how to pair the edges of the 4x4 to eventually convert the 4x4 into what resembles a mixed up 3x3. We will have to know how to position edges opposite from one another and with switched orientations (colors on the same face). The algorithm we will use for this step is:

(Dd) R F' U R' F (Dd)'

*NOTE* In my video, I was a little ambiguous/unclear on how to position the last two pairs of edge pieces before performing the above algorithm. When I said we "need the same color on the same face".. I meant to say "both identical pairs of edges should have the same color on the same face as its complementary piece and be situated in the same layer as well".. I believe that the example in the cube cleared it up, but I just wanted to put it here too in case someone actually reads all this :-)

This algorithm will be used to fix the remaining 2 pairs of edges. You may not have to even use this algorithm depending on how you match the last pairs of edges.

IF YOU FIND THIS TUTORIAL HELPFUL PLEASE COMMENT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF PEOPLE FOUND THE VIDEO HELPFUL.

How to Solve a 4x4x4 Rubik's Cube - Step 2b - Advanced Edge Pairing RobH0629 - 46,190 views - 9 months ago
Goes over how to match up multiple edges at a time, allowing you to eventually become faster with practice. This will also allow you to understand the technique necessary for multiple edge pairing in bigger cubes as well, where it really becomes necessary in solving quickly.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CAN SOLVE THE 4X4 CUBE CONFIDENTLY AND WITHIN 5 MINUTES. Remember, this is an ADVANCED method, so please make sure you are familiar with regular edge pairing first.

I explain the "Build Ring" structure, which enables you to match upto 6 edge pairs at a time.

Let me know if you have any questions at all and please leave comments and rate the video if you enjoy! Hope this helps you all become faster and more efficient with edge pairing.

How to Solve a Rubik's Cube - Step 1 - White Cross RobH0629 - 453,071 views - 1 year ago
In my tutorial, I will teach you how to solve the Rubik's Cube (regular 3x3)using 7 steps, which I explain in detail. My videos are longer than others you may find, but I feel that by spending more time with you for each step, you will understand it better than if I rush through it like those other videos. Although my videos are longer, it will pay off in the shorter amount of time you spend solving your cube. Other methods tend to use repetitive moves, not letting you understand how the cube works very well and wasting too much time and too many moves. I taught quite a few people this method in college, and also family members and friends who were able to solve it relatively quickly once they understood the method. Once you have memorized the algorithms and also understand the method I use, you can solve the cube in ABOUT 1-2 MINUTES WITH PRACTICE.

Go here to see my Rubiks.com page with links to ALL my tutorials!!

This is the first step of the Tutorial for solving the cube. THE SECOND STEP IS ON MY CHANNEL PLAYLIST AND ALSO IN THE VIDEO RESPONSES SECTION OF THIS VIDEO. Link for Step 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =aOkcgDNlBH0

Check out this video of a 7 YEAR OLD who solved the cube in under 3 minutes using my tutorial!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =_6dEUb1T8HA

It involves first placing four white edge pieces around the yellow center piece. You must then match each individual edge piece with its side color and flip it until it is matched with both the white and side colors.

*If you are HAVING DIFFICULTY getting the four white edge pieces around the yellow center, please SEE MY Step 1 b video, which gives further examples which should prove to be useful and give extra help. Also, please do not ever hesitate to ask me ANY questions at all about the cube or if you have any comments or problems. I am ALWAYS glad to help. If you are using this method, I can GUARANTEE that I can explain and help you with anything you need to know as long as you provide me the information about your cube. Send long questions to my inbox and I will try to get back to you A.S.A.P. THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!

I would like to thank Lars Petrus and also Tyson Mao along with Jessica Fridrich for allowing me to visualize the cube in a totally new way. My method basically incorporates strategies and techniques in both Tyson Mao's and also Lars Petrus' methods, making my method unique in itself. My method has been able to help numerous people solve their cubes, along with some family members and personal friends of mine, so I know it can work for you too! Any questions, please don't hesitate to inquire or leave comments on any steps which may have given you trouble. Thanks again for watching my tutorial on How to Solve a Rubik's Cube!!

Do you NOT see the upside down T's? Other Problems?
Then Watch this clarification video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =Zg5lKh_03DI

You must look on the top layer for corners which have a white color on the side (not top or bottom faces). Once you have found (or corrected using the R T180 Ri), you must match the other adjacent color to white (not on top again, but on the side) with its corresponding color diagonally.

Now hold the center of the color that you just matched the white corner diagonally with and the white sticker should either be on the left or right face. Then you must perform the following moves: If white facing left, do Li Ti L (Li = left quarter turn counter-clockwise, L = left quarter turn clockwise), If white facing right, do R T Ri.

You must do this for all four corners. IMPORTANT: When fixing corner pieces which have white facing UP,you must place it above the last empty corner space on bottom before doing the R T180 Ri or Li T180 L moves. IMPORTANT: you should NEVER be looking at the white color when you are placing it down, you should always be holding the center piece of the other color on the side with white while placing the corner piece.

After you have placed all 4 BOTTOM WHITE CORNERS, you should see upside down COLOR T's on the 4 sides of the cube (not top or bottom). If you do NOT have these T's, that means you DID NOT match the corner pieces properly with its side color BEFORE using the 3 moves (up, towards you, down). Match the color on the ADJACENT SIDE of WHITE with its respective center. Then, while holding that center towards you, you must see whether the corner piece is now on the LEFT or RIGHT of that center piece. If on RIGHT, do R T Ri. If on LEFT, do the Li Ti L move. Watch the video for demonstration.

ATTENTION: I WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO LET ME KNOW WHETHER THEY WERE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THIS STEP, SINCE IT IS A LITTLE TRICKY. I WAS THINKING OF POSTING AN ADDITIONAL VIDEO, SO PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK AND COMMENTS OR SEND ME A MESSAGE TO MY INBOX LETTING ME KNOW WHETHER AN ADDITIONAL VIDEO WOULD HELP YOU OUT. THANK YOU!!!

i dont like the new channels youtube introducted. They are trying to contain all the videos inside this single page, so that people dont leave it at all. My problem with that is that 1. The video description is not clearly visible, especially if it is longer, and more importantly 2. the video comments are not visible. You have to CLICK to see the comments on a video. That is bs, because comments and user interaction is really what YouTube is about... and they are often the stuff I check out right after seeing ANY video. Epic Fail is what i call it
