Problem: There is too little global awareness about the crisis of Africa's most impoverished and underdeveloped communities, as well as the importance of realizing the Millenium Development Goals. Moreover, there is too little community ownership and control of local development projects in these communities.  

Solution:  Using music, the arts, youth sports and entertainment as a vehicle to empower youth to take control of their social, economic, political, and physical well being, Project54Tour will help build sustainable communities that become models for self sufficiency.

The group has been touring across the country from Bronx, NY to Las Vegas as part of a non-profit program to bring awareness to their goal to raise $10,000 for a children's charity. This was a dream of Eric Graves and his 4 children to use their high school spring break, talent, and passion for music to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than themselves.

People from the West are rarely exposed to images of normal, healthy African civilization. The majority of people outside the continent have come to accept hunger, disease, conflict, and death in Africa as quite normal for that part of the world.

1L1W Documentary Film will highlight personal stories of triumph and hope amongst the urban communities.

The goal is to engage, empower, and educate the communities on all the things that are being done and make a global audience believe that the fight against extreme poverty, HIV/AIDS, and social reform is a worthwhile and realistic cause for them to join.
