Search Engine, our new £4m library and archive centre, has opened up access to hundreds of previously hidden items from the Museum's archive collections. This includes over 1.5 million photographs from the early days of photography in the 1850s to the present day; over 2000 pieces of oral history and sound recordings; and a growing digital video record of today's railway industry.
