As an engineer at Boeing I would like to thank you for all your hard work in keeping fanatical pseudoscience out of America's science classrooms. I am indebted to all of the precursors of science that paved the way to allow me to pursue my passion in engineering. Please continue to fight the good fight and keep the spirit of science untainted for future generation of scientists and engineers to come.

I never said she was a witness. I said she lied which makes her a liar, whether or not she took the stand.
In 2005, Scott and other NCSE staff served as scientific and educational consultants for the plaintiffs in the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District case, which originated in Dover, PA.
She is also a member of Americans for Religious Liberty which as nothing to do with religious liberty.
Let me give an example of a quote they use on their page. When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.     Benjamin Franklin
I say the same for weak theories. Benjamin B.

benthemiester: "I was under the impression that the Dover trial was about creation being taught in the class. I'm glad I got to take a look for myself. Eugenie Scott you are a liar. You lied in court about the weaknesses of the theory and you lied about being able to prove macro evolutionary processes."

Hey genius, Genie Scott wasn't even a witness at the Dover trial! How the heck could she have "lied in court" if she never even spoke in court?

Oops, it looks like YOU got caught lying, benthemiester.

@ benthemiester You should read "Monkey Girl" (Monkey Girl: Evolution, Education, Religion, and the Battle for America's Soul)

I was under the impression that the Dover trial was about creation being taught in the class. I'm glad I got to take a look for myself. Eugenie Scott you are a liar. You lied in court about the weaknesses of the theory and you lied about being able to prove macro evolutionary processes. You should be ashamed of yourself. Science is being held back by the gate keepers and one of the cosigners of the third humanist manifesto. That means you Scott. I am not a religious fanatic and I see right through this bullshit. Good luck in trying to break the Altenberg 16 summit to the public someday, and explain to everyone why you boycotted the summit. It's just a matter of time. This 150 year old outdated hypothosis will fall by the way side like spontaneous generation Piltdown man and junk DNA.

I appreciate these videos, but would personally prefer to wait a little while to have longer versions. Each video presents interesting points, but they feel a bit disjointed. You've some great speakers there, and the clips just don't do them justice.

Ruxias: thanks for the post. Anyone else having problems with the volume of these clips? --Robert Luhn, NCSE

A recommendation: if you do post the video those short clips are from, please normalize the audio or something. It is very, very quiet, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed this.

Folks: Yep, these clips (of Dr. Lerner, and Josh Rosenau) are short! Originally created for a different purpose, but I thought I'd post them for your (albeit brief) enjoyment. I'm hunting down the original lonnng video, which I'll post soon. --Robert Luhn, NCSE
