Bring back student grants! Guaranteed loans suffocate us in debt and place education out of reach to most Britons, making Britain less uncompetitive!

We can forgive almost any indiscretion against the British worker in the name or progress as long as he or she is given the chance to re-train! Take that away and we are condemned to serfdom, shattering any naive faith in neo-liberalism.

It is a travesty when we, as members of the EU, have to explain to our fellow Europeans why we cannot afford to study in our own country while they are paid by their governments to do exactly that.

Help us! No one else will...

You most likely have my first vote on the 4th of June! I do have a question though, do the Liberal Democrats hope to offer additional support to those going to or who are at University and in Further Education? Thanks

The liberal party need to go back to true liberalism, open to new ideas and ways forward. Protecting individual liberty. If an idea is stupid then as a liberal you can give the reasons not to accept it. To promote a set of common ideals such as freedom, democracy, tolerance and if any such as Islamo fascists or far right wingers break it then liberals must defend the ideals of a liberal society against both of them.

My advice to British liberals from a non brit liberal.
