Welcome to the official HAFFTube for the Holland Animation Film Festival. Here the HAFF web competition is taking place. You can also have a look at films from previous festival editions.

Head over to our 'Favorites' section to see the selection of our web competition! These 50 have made it through weeks of daily voting by HAFF. Now an international jury is taking over, chosing their favorites out of the final selection. On the 5th of November the winner will be announced at the opening night of the Holland Animation Film Festival at Utrecht.

Now in its twelfth edition, the international Holland Animation Film Festival presents a varied programme of animation films from 5 until 9 November 2008. During these five days the festival takes place in various locations in the historical heart of the city of Utrecht. The festival devotes special attention to autonomous art films and the latest developments, but also commercials, educational films, music videos and student films from the Netherlands and Belgium will be screened. Besides, there are expositions, lectures, workshops and talkshows. Special programmes will include games, sfx/vfx, Japanese and Chinese animation and various feature films.

And the winner is...

'Noteboek' by Evelien Lohbeck!

The web competition started on 8 September. During the first 10 days approx 5 films per day were uploaded. HAFFTube gradually filled up with animated films from all over the world. When reached our set limit of 50 films, the voting began. Every day, films were voted out by HAFF to make room for the new entries. Entries were closed on Wednesday October 22.
From then on a jury took over and selected the winner out of the 50 films in the final group. The winner, 'Noteboek', was revealed on the opening night of the festival at 5 November.
