hi Dan, I had a comment about one of your ideas, the alpha sterling from a twin piston compressor... I know that the phase difference for the sinusoidal motion cycle is 90 degrees. this means one piston should follow the other by a quarter of a turn. If there is no phase difference you will never get the sterling cycle happening...

My question is , are these compressors designed to have a 90 degrees phase difference between the pistons? if yes Can we use them as crycoolers? like hook them up to strong engine and spin it then one piston will become cold and the other hot,,

You said you need more heat , couldn't you use big cooking stove flame ? or maybe MAPP gas
I look forward to you getting that alpha sterling to work
thank you

Hey Dan, get the trough frame as dry as possible and coat it with truck bed liner material to preserve it so it lasts longer :-)

RE: JulyinJuly, I am sure the recent storm this past week has dampened any videos, I am anxious to see what the next video will be myself. I can not wait to see the trough mated with the fresnel lens.

Thanks Dan Send me a note if you will be selling the acrylic mirror... and two 4 ft pieces will work just as good as a 4x8

@seventhscience

Avoid Spry Chromes, not even close, I tried a $129 3 part, it is silver paint at best. Also I am getting quotes from a manufacture for the acrylic, the cost is about $210 - 250 a sheet after freight, Pallet limit is 60" anything over that OS dp So 1 sheet = $700 freight 20 sheets = $700 freight. The size is the issue. 48x48 is cheaper for shipping BUT there is a $10 per sheet cutting cost.

The acrylic mirror on the internet is about $12 a sq ft after shipping.
