Just a quick vid i made for a friend who keeps looking for "dj premier's drum sounds". My attempt is to explain some techniques to achieve that sound and hopefully illustrate why the sample packs people sell won't deliver. its all about processing and mixing the drums for the particular beat you're working on. i'm not claiming to be an expert i'm just sharing the knowledge i have.

An anti-drug movie from the 70's that is trying very hard to be "with it". To be fair I do love the groovy intro music, the mod wallpaper and the prevelance of white slacks and belts. The kids' acccents are priceless as well.
