To all the little kiddies in time out: The official jail break occurred on December 18, 2008. The next jailbreak slated for the end of the Spring semester around the middle of May 2009.
Prelim exam is next week. If all goes well, new videos may be on the horizon soon thereafter...

It seems that you 1. don't really know much about the fascinating case of Scopes v. State, 152 Tenn. 424 and 2. don't know much about the fantastic work "Inherit the Wind."
1. The Scopes trial was a publicity stunt that got a bit out of hand. The law was symbolic and never meant to be enforced. On apeal Scopes' conviction was set asside because the judge rather than the jury set the amount of the fine, and the Tenn. Attorney gerneral sent a directive not to retry.For a journalistic account see: Summer for the Gods.
2. Inherit the Wind was not meant to be a journalistic account of the trial, but used the trial as a metaphor for the dangers of McCarthyism. Like how The Crucible is not really about the salem witch trials. Art is a wonderful thing.

PS: In any street fight there is name-calling. And the war of the worldviews is no different. Hollywood has often portrayed Christians as ignorant, mean-spirited Bible-thumpers, while skeptics are depicted as reasonable, intelligent thinkers. That is called "slanted journalism". And I believe people watch too much of it and are actually CONVINCED—just the MEDIA can control the public.
