The Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. is a non-profit organization that aims to provide information and understanding of major health and social issues among the entertainment industries and to audiences at large. EIC addresses issues such as drug use and addiction, sun safety, disordered eating, human trafficking, mental health, depression and suicide, and HIV/AIDS. EIC serves as a resource to writers, directors, producers, performers and others who are committed to making a difference through their art. In addition, EIC produces the PRISM Awards, which recognize accurate and engaging portrayals of these health and social issues. EIC is the link between science and entertainment.
