Great videos. I commute in Orange County CA... Very near to you in Long Beach. I usually commute on my recumbent trike and I do ride with lane control principles to stay safe and I feel safe doing it in most places. Although there are a few places that I have not had the nerve to do it because the neighborhoods where I live, let's just say I don't trust the common sense competency of the drivers! I also have the luxury of using a type 1 (no cars) bike trail for 2/3 of my commute. Check out my commute video. I would love to have feedback on it from you.

finally a person comes along and offers real road riding tecniques over youtube. Should be required viewing to anyone who rides a bicycle, which should include the majority.
