I believe i have every other requirement that would give me a competitive edge but am worried about my PAT score.
Would you suggest i retake the test? Somebody please reply... thanks
I am currently a first year Pediatric Dental Resident at Virginia Commonwealth University (formerly MCV). To answer your question, in undergrad I took a plethora of courses that significantly contributed to my academic courseload while in dental school. I took Molecular Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Immunology, Endocrinology, and Parasitology along with the Biology, Genetics, and Chemistry required courses. All of my advance electives definitely gave me an advantage in dental courses such as Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, and Pathology - which are usually taken during either the first or second year or during both years.
