I am a South Korean researcher and currently (2025) serve as Special Advisor to the Party Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea. Researcher on Public Issues and Institutions, Institutional and Political Reform, How Do Institutions Change?
In the researcher’s doctoral dissertation (2005). 
Accordingly, the study identifies a “path dependency type of path deviation.” Specifically, it argues that the types of “military authoritarian path deviation” and “democratization deviation” offer a more appropriate explanation.
