The Foodshed Forum

The Foodshed Forum is a multi-platform educational and convening initiative. Our integrated programs: amplify community-based organizations working towards food system transformation in Connecticut. We bridge initiatives throughout Fairfield County, and beyond, by strengthening the connections between food system thought leaders and educating individuals on the ways they can be a food system changemakers and support an equitable, resilient and regional foodshed. The TFF platform facilitates the cross-pollination of ideas and best practices among anyone who is interested in connecting and learning about local food. TFF frames the industrial food system through a racial justice lens. Programs integrate historical context to the story of land, farming and the arch of global food production including its through-line as an harmful system, while highlighting initiatives that center care and work to repair our social and ecological fabric.
