History

Located in Brooklyn, a brief 20 minutes from Manhattan, J&M Special Effects (DBA of Jauchem & Meeh, Inc) incorporated in 1985 and has since become the premiere go-to source for live special effects in the New York area.

Gregory Meeh, President and Head Designer, in association with Esquire Jauchem, founded J&M in a Soho basement with two fog machines and a passion for producing spectacular and innovative special effects for the performing arts community in New York. Jauchem moved to the west coast in the late 1980s to direct and produce for television; Greg Meeh became president of J&M and continues to foster the company's successful expansion. J&M recently moved into an 11,000 square foot warehouse space with 16 full time employees and the largest variety of effects equipment and products for rental or sale on the east coast.
