Yale Youth Ministry Institute

The Yale Youth Ministry Institute at Yale Divinity School (YMI) is an ecumenical collaboration of ministers, youth leaders, and scholars committed to equipping us all to minister to the young in our midst. 

YMI is built on the foundation of 17 years of intentional youth ministry development at The Congregational Church of New Canaan, and is the most recent of many collaborations between that church and scholars at Yale Divinity School.  

YMI is associated with the Yale Center for Faith and Culture's Adolescent Faith & Flourishing Program and draws primarily from the insights of Rev. Harold “Skip” Masback and Dr. Miroslav Volf of YCFC.

Our mission is to create authentic human flourishing among youth by enhancing, supporting, and connecting transformative youth ministries within faith communities.
