Wendell Marsh

I’m Wendell Marsh, Associate Professor of African Literature and Philosophy at Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P) in Morocco. My work lives at the crossroads of intellectual history, literature, religious studies, and postcolonial theory—with a special focus on Islam in Africa, global Black thought, and the fate of the humanities in our times.

Here you’ll find:
-Deep dives into African and diasporic intellectual traditions
-Conversations and lectures that connect scholarship to urgent global questions
-Behind-the-scenes reflections on research, writing, and teaching
-Book and project updates, including my forthcoming Textual Life: Islam, Africa, and the Fate of the Humanities

At its heart, the channel is animated by a simple conviction: African and diasporic intellectual life is not only worth studying but is vital for inventing the future.
