Teni | Diary of an African Girl in Corporate

Hi, I’m Teni 👋🏾

I’m just a girl trying to build the career I prayed for without letting corporate life finish me in the process. 😭

This is basically my diary.

The meetings that could have been emails. The office politics nobody prepared me for. Trying to get promoted without becoming a completely different person. Family asking when I’m getting married while I’m just trying to survive Monday. Friendships, money, dating, ambition... and all the questionable decisions in between.

Some days I feel like I’ve got adulthood figured out.

Other days I’m staring at a Teams message that says “Hi Teni, have you got 5 minutes?” wondering if I should update my CV.

If you’re figuring out work, life and everything in between too, you’re in the right place.

Welcome to my diary. ❤️
