Senator Marielle Smith

Marielle Smith was elected as a Senator for South Australia on 18 May 2019 and was officially sworn into the 46th Parliament on 2 July 2019. Marielle is passionate about representing South Australians. Throughout her campaign for the Senate she travelled extensively throughout South Australia, and is determined to be a fierce representative for residents from both Adelaide and the regions. Marielle lives in Adelaide with her husband, young son and, depending on the week, her three lovely step-children. As part of the Federal Labor team, Marielle will be fighting for what matters to South Australians – local jobs, protecting Medicare, investing in education and building a strong economy that delivers for all.
