HighsmithPsy releases improvised and chance-based music in a variety of expressive styles and idioms. The music, through its strong go-for-broke emphasis on indeterminacy/chance, distinguishes itself by virtue of the unique torsion or non-identity it carries—an allegory for music’s own undecidable guilt as historico-immanent.

“postminimalism would then be the name for the moment of the modernist’s work’s becoming explicitly responsible not simply for its medium but for what in that medium both divides and exceeds it, opening it to displacement.”
