Full color logotype on gradient backgrounds
The YouTube logotype must always appear clearly and legibly on its backgrounds. To help ensure this, the preferred color configuration of the YouTube logotype should appear on white and light backgrounds whenever possible. However, the logotype may also appear on dark or black backgrounds as long as sufficient contrast is provided.
Always ensure legibility by placing the logotype in an area that is simple and uncluttered. Always observe clear space specifications.
The logotype may also appear on other colored backgrounds not specified in these standards as long as sufficient contrast is provided.
-
A gray background density of less than 50% black requires the use of the original YouTube logotype.
A gray background density of more than 50% black requires the use of the white/red YouTube logotype.
Due to a lack of visibility and prominence, the logotype may not be placed on a red background.
