Last semester Schmid Law Library introduced a wonderful new law school community event in the S.T.I.R. Series. Today that series of talks resumes with Professor Frans von der Dunk presenting "Fly Me to the Moon -- Or At Least to Tokoyo in 90 minutes" in the Student Lounge at 4 p.m. Snacks and beverages are provided.

If you haven't yet been to a S.T.I.R. Talk, here's the scoop. A professor is asked to present on a topic of his/her research. The catch -- the talk must be done in 15 minutes or less. The remainder of the hour is available to socialize with colleagues, ask the presenter topics, etc.

Join us! Share. Think. Inspire. Relax. It's the perfect way to kick off the semester.

His 15 minute talk is the fourth of the S.T.I.R. (Share. Think. Inspire. Relax.) series sponsored by the Schmid Law Library.

S.T.I.R. is the College's own version of TED -- a chance for students to learn about faculty research in a very casual atmosphere. The faculty member has 15 minutes to present his/her idea, and the presentation is followed by a social hour -- snacks & beer provided.

ATTRIBUTIONS: A short video clip is played mid-way through the presentation, which contains portions of the song "Resurrection" by PPK / Universal Media Group. This music was used with permission and proper attribution in the original video clip recording from www.spacegeneration.org - only part of this video clip was featured within this presentation.
