The maiden flight of my model of the J1N1 Gekko Japanese night fighter from late WWII, cruising around the GaREAT sports complex at Geneva Ohio on March 8th 2011. This twin-engined profile scale foamie is part of the line of the Rabid Models lineup. It weighs about 14 ounces with a 3-cell battery pack and is a very easy flyer. Powered by two 1200kV electric motors. 50" wingspan. This is a bit larger than our other models and has more drag. But that's appropriate, since the full-size plane was not a top performer.

You'll see on the video that the model accidentally struck another pilot's smaller model at the beginning of the second lap, and that model was broken as a result. It's unfortunate but this is somthing that can happens sometimes, when flying R/C planes indoors.
