It's been seven years since a woman -- Janet Jackson -- was the featured performer during the Super Bowl halftime show, but this year, the Black Eyed Peas are the headliners and Fergie will be front and center. She tells ET's Kevin Frazier that the NFL is making sure she will keep her costume on!

"We are just making sure that everything is secure and tucked in and nobody is going to get angry," Fergie tells Kevin. "A little sex appeal is okay. I know that my stylist was talking to the NFL. There were definitely points of contention. It is serious. I am getting a lot of rules."

That said, Fergie and the guys are thrilled to be a part of what is going to be a great party this weekend, and they come by their connection to football through family ties. will.i.am's uncle played for the Atlanta Falcons, while Fergie says her dad played football in high school and college and she, of course, is a part owner of the Miami Dolphins.

One special treat that will.i.am will be providing for fans -- in addition to appearing in two Super Bowl commercials -- is he will be tweeting live from the Super Bowl stage during the band's halftime performance.

"Do me a favor and follow my Twitter handle -- @iamwill -- because when Fergie is doing her part, apl is doing his part and Taboo is doing his part, I am going to be tweeting to bring you closer to the experience of what it is like to be performing on the Super Bowl."

Super Bowl XLV airs this Sunday on FOX.
