This is my latest PB with a time of 43:12 performed on Monday 2nd February. It's about half a second slower than the run done the previous night which was a 43:11. Unfortunately the disc of the 43:11 could be viewed but could not be converted. It's incredibly lucky I managed to do an equally good run the following night with another disc. The gods were smiling down for sure...

Few things to note in this run:

It's 15/10 lowest ammo possible for Tourian. I choose to skip the charge beam missile pack. This missile skip is not for the purpose of saving time. It's purpose is to use the 7 seconds it initially saves to a do a slow but safe strategy escaping Draygons room, which collects the drops and does a Gravity jump out of the room, which coincidentally is about 7 seconds slower than the bomb jump + drops skip. This strategy takes away the pressure of having to perform the bomb jump, which itself isn't necessarily a hard trick but it can be problematic on a good paced run when your nerves are playing up. It turns out that this Gravity jump strategy can skip the opportunity to farm the bugs on the way out of Maridia if Draygon gave you good drops. This means the charge missile skip can save time after all, as it happened on this run, with just one wave of bugs farmed compared to three waves on the 43:46. Sometimes you don't need to farm at all after collecting draygons drops.

I perform a double shinespark strategy on the ninja pirates in lower norfair. This is to drastically help the chances of acquiring 9 supers for Ridley. The double spark itself is about 4 seconds slower than the previous strategy (spark + 3 supers) however I use a different approach in the WS attic that saves 2 supers which enables me to use supers on all the doors in Upper Norfair, saving about 2 seconds over the 43:46 which used a mixture of supers and missiles for the doors. So now the double spark strategy only really loses 2 seconds but provides me with a greater chance of having 9 supers. On top of this it means I have more missiles where you can use 9 of them on Ridley to save a few more seconds.

Notable mistakes:

Missile lake: Didn't make it over there first try and failed the backup on second attempt.

Failed reverse kago speed ball. This is usually a very easy trick for me but i lost quite a bit of time here again...

Failed speed keep. When heading to tourian through crateria I got lucky on my previous two PB's with the jump but I failed it on this attempt in the worst way by pressing down before jumping.

All these mistakes totalled about 20 seconds not taking into account smaller mistakes elsewhere. All the bosses were pretty optimal except Phantoon with a slow pattern.
