Lani Hall first came to be known to the public as one of the vocalists of Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66 for her distinctive multi-tracked vocals in hit songs such as "Mas Que Nada", "Fool On The Hill" among others. She later left the band and embarked on a solo career. Her first album Sundown Lady in 1972 arranged by Herb Alpert is a sublime combination of folk and funk marrying Hall's intimate soulful vocals with breezy guitar and a thick percolating bassline. This song COME DOWN IN TIME attests to that.

She interprets this song as it was to be sung. God Bless you, Ms. Hall.
Beautiful! The best version of this song.
one of my fave Elton John songs-she's wonderful
Lani's voice beautifies every song. How much effort would it take for A&M to get her six English, one Portuguese and one Spanish albums release 1972-'84 out on cd? Once again, the music industry drops the ball. Come on, Herb. You are part owner- or used to be...
