The 2012 Virtual Flute Choir performs Reinhold Gliere's Russian Sailors' Dance, arranged and conducted by internationally renowned flutist and arranger Shaul Ben-Meir.

The Virtual Flute Choir is an ensemble of flutists from across the globe who have submitted videos of themselves all performing different parts to the same piece of music. Their video (and audio) submissions have been compiled into this master performance. With continued funding, the VFC will be an annual event!

The Virtual Flute Choir was created by Dr. Karen McLaughlin Large, Assistant Professor of Flute at Kansas State University. The digital media designer was Skyler Butler. Audio mixing was performed by Dr. Large.

This project was funded by a research grant (USRG) from Kansas State University.
