Thursday - Portland Oregon 8/26/13
[update 9/7/13 added see bottom of this description]
when i arrived in Chapman Park on 8.26.13 around 11:00AM
the park located kitty-corner from city hall was: somewhat quite
yet a disturbance was getting more vocal within those present on the sidewalk
i sat down on a bench in the middle of the park
with my video camera turned off, relaxing
the arguing tempo was going up and down
when the police arrived, i got up
i walked over to where the cop was writing a ticket
to someone ...for climbing in a tree (i think?)

a group of people have now locked arms around the tree
and couple other folks now have hung from the lower branches
for a few minutes i stood there watching,
minutes later the folks moved slowly away from the tree...
all but one, who is still standing up 20 feet on a branch
soon more police and park rangers are arriving
... its around this point I turn my camera on
....what develops around me is reveling
