"The 50 Years CAPAC Song Special" (Part Four) ...aired on C.B.C. television on October 30, 1975. Filmed in Gastown, Vancouver, B.C. and C.B.C. Vancouver's Studio 40 - hosted by Gordon Pinsent, it celebrated the 50th Anniversary of CAPAC, the Composers, Authors and Publishers Association of Canada Limited. [CAPAC merged with PRO Canada in 1990 to form the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN). http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.co...] The 50 Years CAPAC Song Special was special in that it starred the best of 1975's young Canadian talent; Jeff Hyslop, Barbara Barsky, Ruth Nichol, Victor Stewart, Marek Norman, Lorraine Faulkner, Brent Carver, Melinda Whitaker, Bill Reiter, Martin Short, Charlene Brandolini, Mary Ann McDonald and Terry Frewer. The show was Produced and Directed by Neil Sutherland. It was written by Brian Gibson, Brian Griffiths, Miles Ramsay, Bob Buckley and Howie Vickers. Orchestrations were by Bobby Hales, Bob Buckley, Brian Gibson and Brian Griffiths. The Musical Director was Bobby Hales. The Choral Director was Brian Gibson. The choreographer was Jeff Hyslop.
