Historically, the most prominent representatives of culture and art frequently visited and gathered at the manors – the centres of culture and education. Today, the halls of Lithuanian castles and manors are filled with the sounds of the most beautiful music concerts and other events.

The walls of castles and manors can tell many astonishing stories and legends to those exploring our country with billowy meadows and fields and rustling forests, those wanting to learn more about the Lithuanian heritage.

The Lithuanian Association of Castles and Manors, which unites natural and legal entities – the owners and managers of Lithuanian castles and manors and other persons who are concerned with the preservation of cultural heritage of the Lithuanian castles and manors - has been operating since 2005.

In 2019-2020, thanks to the project “Increasing the Awareness about Lithuanian Castles and Manors by Means of Electronic Marketing” implemented by the Lithuanian Association of Castles and Manors, the castles and manors located in the priority areas of tourist attraction sites have been widely presented as cultural heritage and visitor attractions of exceptional value that must be protected.

Lithuanian castles and manors are presented in a new and attractive way on the new website, providing professional visual information, and by the means of communication on social networks. The information about the heritage sites of interest, their exclusivity and value is easily and conveniently accessible to anyone interested. Advertising of Lithuanian heritage and promotion of tourism is carried out not only for domestic but also for foreign markets.

A two-year-long project “Increasing the Awareness about Lithuanian Castles and Manors by Means of Electronic Marketing”, promoting the cultural heritage sites of the Lithuanian Association of Castles and Manors and its members, is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Panemunė, Trakai, Medininkai Castles, Plungė Manor, Kretinga Manor, Liubavas Manor, Pienionys Manor, Aštrioji Kirsna Manor, Jurbarkas Manor, Raudondvaris Manor, Trakų Vokė Manor were filmed. See more castles and manors in www.lietuvos.dvarai.lt
