Pavement marking contractors use a giant chalkline to snap long lines over rough and uneven pavement. A little carpenters chalkline just won't cut it. The Magnum Chalkline is used differently from the small chalklines. Instead of ancoring each end, lifting in the middle, and releasing to make a line, hold one end and flick your wrist so that the line slaps against the pavement. This way you can snap across uneven pavement, even through valleys and low places in the pavement.
