From Brasstonaut and filmmaker Nathan Drillot, comes "The Grove" music video, an official Summer Music Video Fund 2013 awardee (publicrecords.org). Produced with the support of TELUS (telus.com/optiklocal). Vancouver, BC. Based on a true story behind the lyrics of the song, a relative of Brasstronaut's Edo Van Breman was a lawyer involved in trafficking cocaine into Dade county, Florida. Portrayed by the Little Bird Community Theater.

Song Lyrics:
We used to trace our names in the bright white sand,
and crawl into the jungle on our knees and hands.
We settled at the edge of a coral tongue.
Summoned by the pulse of a warm steel drum.

With the lights of Miami in distant view,
easy money came quick and caught up to you.

You used to run around with the bright white swan,
but now my better instinct tells me that she's long gone.

gone gone gone gone gone gone gone

When your locks got picked it was on the news.
The shadows of confession made your features seem older
bolder.
And you searched in vain for your marvelled swan.
You're calling out her name, but she's long long gone.

gone gone gone gone gone gone gone

Take a look at my face
take a look at my hands
on account of the charge
I'm a shell of a man.

Did you think they would rescue you?
Pull you out of the cage and put you back on the catamaran.

Hey man.

Take away the facade,
the collection of cars
on account of the charge
I'm a helluva man.

Did you think they would come for you,
pull you out of the cage
and put you back on the catamaran.

Hey man, hey man.

Take a look at my life
take a look at my kids
on account of the charge
I'm a shell of a man
