I recently uploaded my latest SB 4th of JULY PARADE video, which I believe is quite beautiful. I passed it around the internet & Facebook like soft butter on warm bread. I also uploaded it to KEYT3 (local news) as "YouNews" describing the event as a contribution to our community. I also incliude the free download link in my YouTube videos so that if anyone likes the vids they can download them for free, so you see I am not making any money on this. Ultimately what this is, is my sharing my own personal photo album with the world. Since I come from a long line of Artists I of course want to make MY "photo album" as nice as I can, a proud gift to future generations.

The next day I was shocked to see that I had NO AUDIO on the YouTube version, and when I made the mistake of trying to upload onto Facebook they deleted it and threatened to delete my account becuase I was "infringing" on copyright issues with Ray Charles' "America the Beautiful".

I did submit my appeal saying that as a News Piece I was exempt from those conserns. I also stated my non-commercial, not for profit platform. It made no difference, the videos have not been restored.

Why, I thought, would I get threatened by sharing a song that I bought when others on YouTube use the same exact music with impunity? The SAME EXACT song is used on the channel: freeyourmind775.

The difference (besides the obvious lack of quality) is that thier video has 1,124,502 views and mine doesn't. If YouTube has actually allowed this video to remain unmolested for so much time, why then had they mutilated MY video right out of the gate?

Although it appears to be a clear case of "selective enforcement" I can only summize that if we are all basically good people and are coming from that place then maybe the "editor" of my video was NOT a angry, spiteful recluse feeding off his/her offspring for enjoyment. Maybe it was AUTOMATED.

So in keeping with this theory, I will be lifting the audio from the above mentioned piece, and laying it not in the "music" tract of my editing software, but the "sound" tract. It this avoids triggering an automated hatched job then we're safe. If it doesn't, I may need to pop up with a new YouTube channel...
