In this 4-part interview John E. "Gene" Weick describes his experiences while serving with the 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division, in France and Germany during WWII. T/Sgt Weick was awarded both a Silver and a Bronze Star Medal for heroic action. He was also awarded a Purple Heart Medal for wounds received in Normandy during the battle for St. Lo, France. In these videos he discusses his experience with his son, Steve Weick.

Part 3 -- Ardennes and Germany
• Approximately December 18, 1944 SSgt Weick was cleared by the 121st Station Hospital in England and sent back to France.
• Around December 24, 1944, SSgt Weick caught up with his unit at the town of Lutrebois Belgium.
• Between December 29th and 31st Contact was made with the 101st Airborne in Bastogne. Unit was at Marvie, Belgium at this time.
• 2nd Lt. Adam J. Czaikowski took over as Platoon Commander of the 1st Platoon. On July 4th he was a Sgt. in the 1st Platoon, 2nd Squad.
