...pastor, ministers on the rostrum, deacons, trustees, members AND friends. I'd like to thank the Lord for waking me up this morning and starting me on my way. I got food on my table and clothes on my back. (Insert personal testimony if any) Conclusion: If you know the words of prayer, please pray my strent (sic) in the Lord.

Black people can preach or testify about ANYTHING!!! I swear I heard a testimony about toast!!! The guy said he wanted an omelet but God told him to just make some toast.  He had 3 eggs left, just enough for an omelet. So, he made his omelet. He went to put it on a plate and it fell on the floor. Then he made some toast and it was just enough to fill him up. When God tells you to be satisfied with toast, don't go makin an omelet!!! +Lady FLP Was she prompted by the organist to shout? If the organist started playing shouting music and encouraged her, then he/she is partly to blame!

Black people are resourceful. We took scraps and came up with soul food! It extends to all areas of life. Think about it. A teen says to his mom, "Ma, I'm going to play basketball." Mom says, "Boy, if you don't get your butt up them steps and do your homework, I'll SHOW you a basketball!" She took basketball and flipped the switch. It makes no sense, but somehow that actually makes it MORE effective!!   Or we can take one word, and make a song out of it. Classic example, "Amen". It has more than one word, but the song is centered around one word. There is an entire song with one lyric, "Won't He make you clean...inside?" Yeah, we add, "good God Almighty", but that's technically extra. You can think of more examples. When you think about it, that's actually pretty amazing to take scraps and come up with soul food. But then again, that same principle gives us testimonies about toast and shouting about almost sickening the pastor...
