Daft Punk performs at the Grammys with Stevie Wonder, Nile Rogers and Pharrell in their 2nd TV performance ever, yup. This is Trophy Life, Clevver's coverage of award show goodness. Ok let's cut to the chase, here's a sample of Daft Punk's collaborative "Get Lucky" performance.

Did you hear that? Yes, Daft Punk sampled their previous Grammy performance in 2008 with Kanye West "Harder Better Faster Stronger" and they sampled Chic's "Le Freak" so naturally we are totally freaking out. But let's back up a little bit. Singer Pharrell started off the soulful performance singing "Get Lucky" acoustic on a dark stage, with Nile Rogers on the guitar and Stevie Wonder on the keyboard. No Daft Punk in sight. But Pharrell's Smokey Bear hat was front and center as a vintage recording studio set was revealed. Stevie helped Pharrell with a couple lines, and then mid-way through the song the French duo finally appeared in the sound booth wearing all white space suits and matching helmets. The whole gang sings together as they sample the Kanye track, the "Le Freak" track and Stevie Wonder ends playing 1976 hit "Another Star". This performance will not soon be forgotten and was a nice homage to the history of soul music. Click here to check out our new show Totally Clevver, it's more Clevver than ever.
