We wanted to add an international flavour to the proceedings at SBC11, which is why we invited Aurélie Duthoit of Babyloan (France) and Till Behnke of betterplace.org (Germany) to discuss their experiences with Rodney Schwartz.
Babyloan is the first European solidarity microcredit platform, founded by Aurélie in 2008. She has been named Solidarity Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 by EDHEC Business School.
Till Behnke established betterplace.org after giving up his job as a financial services project manager in 2007. Betterplace is now a multi-million donation platform for projects in over 100 countries. Till was subsequently recognised with an Ashoka Fellowship and has been named as a member of the Top 40 Young Economic Elite by Capital Magazine.
