UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay has condemned attacks on civilians in Libya, saying they could amount to Crimes Against Humanity.
In a statement, Pillay expressed concern over the attacks in the North African country, "the callousness with which the Libyan authorities and their hired guns are reportedly shooting live rounds of ammunition at peaceful protesters."
A senior UN Human Rights Frej Finniche speaking on behalf of the High Commissioner called for an international independent investigation on human rights violations in Libya.
